Services: Adult Services

Individual Therapy
Our model integrates psychological, biological and social perspectives into active, goal-directed and effective therapy. Specialized treatment is available for anxiety, depression, eating disorders/body image disturbances, work-related difficulties, career/family conflicts, women’s issues, and men’s issues. Psychiatric assessment is available.

Medication Evaluation and Management
Done by the psychiatrists on our staff, with ongoing consultation with your therapist. Available for adults and children.

Couple and Family Therapy
All of our staff have extensive training in couple and family work. Specialized treatment is available for communication difficulties, intimacy/ commitment issues, sexual problems, separation and divorce, remarriage and blended families. (Also see Children’s Services.) People seeking help for family issues often have individual issues as well. Concurrent individual therapy or medication are sometimes indicated. Our collaborative model can address such needs within the group to ensure coordinated care and simplify treatment.
Family of origin work, a brief therapy designed to solve problems between young or midlife adults and their parents, is also available. Areas of focus may include communications, development of boundaries, reconnection of cutoffs, and review of family issues in order to allow closure.
